Why I made this carpet site

Hello. My name is Jorge. I am writing this - about me - to tell you my own experience. Carpets have been for me an exciting work. For more than two decades I have been involved in all aspects of them. But now I am also on the Internet.

Why I am on the Internet?

For one single reason: to share with you everything what I have learned during these decades. To help you make the best decisions about your carpets.

What I expose in this - about me - will not be liked by some manufacturers and service companies. But this site contains what I believe will be for your greatest benefit. Sincerely I hope it will serve you to keep your carpets in optimal conditions.

How I began?

I began more than 24 years ago. Just married, and without work. A friend invited me to help in his carpet cleaning company. I still remember the great amount of carpet shampoo we used to clean the spots, or rather, to cover them.

We were accustomed to wait days until carpets where dry. And . . . days to see dirt reappear. Therefore, I am still thankful for the patience many customers showed us.

This woke up the need to find some better and more effective carpet cleaning system. So we tried different machines and detergents. We listened to many promises, but spots and humidity continued to reappear with more frequency than we liked to admit.

In time, I formed my own company, where beside cleaning, we sold and installed all types of carpets. I must confess that in many occasions I had to learn several hard lessons nobody taught me.

The turning point

A ray of hope came when a friend of North Carolina gave me an advise  who marked a big turning point: It was a new method of cleaning carpets.

With great enthusiasm we imported  the system and gave it a try. What was the outcome? Although it was better than the one we used, it showed several weaknesses. However, we realized the process  had much to offer. So, we elaborated our own method, who offered a combination of the best procedures we found. What has been the result? Until now this cleaning combination is giving us excellent results. 

What else I discovered?

I discovered the majority know little about their carpets. They don’t understand how to buy, maintain and clean them in a good way. This was obvious by the speed carpets worsened and by the despair they called us to save those who were ready for the trash.

I understood they lacked reliable information for choosing the best qualities, fibers and services to extend carpet’s life.

But how could I help?
I designed a handbook so my employees could give the best service. The result? The quality of our work improved. Later, we made other guides so our clients took advantage of all the services we carried out.
